Alumni Outing: November 11th, 2005
Coordinator: Lila Meng
Kappa Phi Lambda has always put much emphasis on celebrating Sisterhood
after graduation. On November 11, 2005, we did just that. The Alumni
Outing event was organized in order to bring graduated Sisters together as
they celebrated many career success stories and engagements. The event was
a success as many of the Sisters attended despite of their busy schedules.
The Alumni Outing kicked off with a few cocktails at Off-The-Wagon in New
York City. Although it was extremely packed, the Sisters were able to chug
down few drinks and catch up on each others’ lives. Many of our alumni
have very successful careers, working for prestigious firms such as Merrill
Lynch, HSBC, CSFB, AIG, and Pershing. Others have moved on to the next
stage of their lives by announcing their engagements.
Next, the Sisters went to the Butterfly Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, for
dinner. Among the tasty egg rolls and springs rolls, the Sisters’ favorite
dish was PHO, a Vietnamese noodle soup. Sisters laughed and ate while
enjoying every rare moment spent with each other. It was indeed a night to
remember as they reminisced about the good old times.
These are the moments we share as Sisters, not only in college, but in the
real world as well. Sisterhood is not something that we flaunt; it is
something that we treasure. Although it is rare to have so many of our
alumnus come out for a fun-filled gathering, but we have never forgotten
what it is like to be Sisters.
Thank you to all of the Sisters that came out!
